The Doi Hilsa many people may know that the different types of Ilish fish recipe, I try to cook a little different taste. Bengali's  most favorite Ilish. This recipe for Jamai Sasthi & Rainy Season Special.

এবারের রেসিপি দই ইলিশ স্পেশাল। অনেকেই হয়তো জানেন ইলিশ মাছের নানান রকম রেসিপি, আপনারাও করে ফেলুন একটু অন্য স্বাদে।বাঙ্গালিদের সবথেকে সেরা পছন্দের ইলিশ।

Ingredients for Doi Ilish:

  • Ilish fish fried – 3 pics.
  • Ginger - Cumin & Green Chili paste – 2 tsp.
  • Custard – 1 Cup
  • Mustard Oil – 1 Cup
  • Sugar to taste
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat the oil in a deep pan and gently fry the panch phoran and mustard seed paste for about 5 mins until soft. Add the ginger-cumin & green chili paste - 2 tsp and stir-fry for 1-2 mins, then tip in the custard - 1 cup. Add sugar and salt to taste. 
  2. Bring to a simmer, then add the Ilish fish fry 3pcs. Gently cook for 4-5 mins until the fish flakes easily. 
  3. Serve with rice, chapati or naan.
