Parwal Leaves Pakora or Potol Patar Pakora is unique recipe. Specially for diabetes recipes. Pakoras are often served in road side eateries or restaurants, quite popular during monsoon time as pokoras goes very well with a cup of tea. Each state of India have their own variation in making pokoras, so the recipes do differ and so does the flavor and taste.

Ingredients of Parwal Leaves Pakora / পটল পাতার পাকোড়া

  • Parwal Leaves
  • Rice Powder
  • Besan
  • Posto Powder (Poppy Seeds)
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Red Chili Powder
  • Water
  • Salt to taste

Process:  

  • Sieve the Posto (gram flour) and add the salt to taste, rice powder (ground rice), red chili powder and turmeric powder.
  • Gradually add the water and keep mixing until a thick batter is formed.
  • Coat Parwal Leaves and deep fry at around golden brown.
  • Drain on absorbant paper.
